The common cold is on the move and it will be visiting your child's school, without a doubt. 2014 was a particularly bad year and this year is expected to be as bad or worse.  According to the Centers for Disease Prevention and Wellness, over 200 viruses have been identified to be associated with the common cold, but you can effectively be prepared for any viral onslaught by adding essential oils into your natural health care routine.

Essential oils can assist in the prevention of contracting the dreaded viruses that cause colds in several different ways. Using essential oils such as Cinnamon, Clove, Eucalyptus, Lavender, Lemon, Sweet Orange and Thyme all deter the growth of viruses and make them an excellent option to use during the months when most people are indoors.  Due to cooler weather and closer quarters with limited fresh airflow a lot of people get sick.

Essential oils are very versatile and can be used through several means to like diffusing or topical applications. They cleanse and purify the air, as well as possibly contribute to elevating your mood! Win Win! The most versatile and easy to use is a roll on bottle of premixed, pre-diluted blends specifically mixed to form a synergistic effect to keep you from getting sick or shortening the effects of the virus.
