Shingles...are you the lucky 1 in 3? If you have had chicken pox the shingles virus is already living in your spine...encouraging right? One in three adults will get shingles in their lifetime. Certainly not good odds.

Our shingles journey began one evening when my husband, preparing for bed, took off his shirt.

Me: AHHHH what is that? 

Husband: What?

Me: That huge, red rash wrapped around your stomach to your back!

Husband: Oh great, that wasn't there this morning! It's probably Shingles.

Me: It's not Shingles. Your not old enough and you have less stress now than ever (two risk factors)  

So he went to bed and went to urgent care first thing in the morning. The verdict? Shingles! He was given pain relief...Norco (a powerful addictive narcotic) and was told it would get much worse before it got better. He was in for a few months (yes months) of misery. Ugh! Looking back over the last week he realized that he did have symptoms but they were easily ignored.

I used this essential oil blend to stop the virus in it's tracks. I was amazed that it really did stop it from getting any worse. His rash scabbed over after a few days and didn't spread any further.
